He had always been on the other side. Never needing to worry about being attacked because he had the best protection. He thought he was invincible. The reality of it was harsh for him. He was no better than the people outside his walls. He was not invincible. He was vulnerable.
L wasn't the same after the attack. Light didn’t think he would ever be the same, not the exact same anyway. Few people went through what he had, and he wished no one else in the world would.

LxLight“Finally”, Light murmured laying his finger on the soft, worn spine of the book he was searching for. He pulled it easily from its shelf, striding leisurely back to a red armchair in the beautiful, massive library in Tokyo. Light opened the book, running his fingers over the engraved words of the title. Before he could indulge himself in reading, he was startled to hear L say softly, “what’s this?”. Light had never really gotten like L, and L’s little attempts at conversation were getting on his nerves…And his breath. Wake up! It's just a dream! No matter how much you wish it was happening,, just wake up! Those were the thoughts that screamed in Light's head as L's lips were on his, gently kissing him. No, this was just another dream, right? He'd wake up in bed, again, and be sweating buckets. He most likely will scream, and L will come running, again, and Light will be embarrassed all over again.

It was nighttime, or so Light believed. The white light from outside had vanished, turning to black, and Light was just drifting off to sleep. Clothes had been supplied to both men, and he'd slipped into pajama pants and no shirt.
Light was still worried about that look. He tried to shrug it off as him just imagining it...but then why would he imagine that L was looking at him lovingly?! That was a worse situation...so Light truly didn't know what to think.
